ETS VIII is the eigth NASDA Engineering Testing Satellite. In Geostationary orbit it will conduct orbital experiments on a Large-Scale Deployable Reflector applicable to large space structures, conduct communications experiments, and it carries a precise clock system for satellite positioning experiments.
